KOTA TINGGI: Johor's most popular beach Desaru, located some 100km from here, will be developed into an international water sports centre in line with efforts to promote the country as a sports tourism destination.
Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Azalina Othman Said said the long, unpolluted and unspoilt white sandy beach of Desaru fitted the criteria for a water sports centre.
