KUALA LUMPUR: The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry will conduct more checks on traders to ensure they do not increase prices of goods following the Government’s decision to increase petrol and diesel prices, its Deputy Minister Datuk S. Veerasingham said.
He said that the two sen increase in the prices of petrol and diesel should not have any significant effect on the prices of goods and even “if there are any, it should be absorbed by the businesses.”
