KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s priority is to secure its border with Thailand to prevent a mass movement of people from southern Thailand, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said yesterday.
“Our main concern is the possibility of people crossing the border to seek refuge in Malaysia. We also do not want anyone being pursued by Thai authorities to come into the country,” he said after opening the National Innovation Summit at the Palace of the Golden Horses.
