KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s sole independent opposition assemblyman Datuk John Ghani is hoping to rejoin Umno in which he was a member since the party’s entry into the state 13 years ago.
“I will submit an application to rejoin Umno at an appropriate time,” said the former Sabah Umno deputy information chief who quit the party before the March 21 elections and toppled the Barisan Nasional incumbent Datuk Wences Anggang of Upko in the Kuala Penyu seat.
