KUALA KANGSAR: The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah, who celebrated his 76th birthday yesterday, described the unity prevailing among the people of various communities, cultures and religions in the country as the best gift for a ruler from his subjects.
The Sultan said it would be meaningless to have a throne if the country was plagued with unrest and political and economic instability.
