Former Selangor exco man charged for corruption

SHAH ALAM: Former Selangor state executive councillor Datuk Mohd Sharif Jajang, 61, has been charged at the Klang Sessions Court with corrupt practice involving a land application seven years ago. 

Mohd Sharif, who was then the state assemblyman for Dengkil, is accused of using his position for personal benefit when he participated in the Sepang Land Office Committee meeting on June 16, 1997, to deliberate on a Temporary Occupation Licence application for a 1.2ha plot in Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, Sepang.
