Perak BN Youth pledges to serve people diligently

IPOH: The state Barisan Nasional Youth has pledged to serve the coalition and the people well to reciprocate the confidence shown in the wing's ability during the general election. 

Its chairman Datuk Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said this time around eight candidates from the Youth wing in the state had contested and won. 

In fact, he said, two of them had been selected as state executive councillors and given important portfolios, with him chairing the Education, Human Resources and Multimedia Committee and state MCA Youth chief Datuk Tan Chin Meng the Health, Science and Environment Committee. 

“This trust given to us will help us carry out our duties diligently.  

“For us, the portfolios and our respective roles are new but challenging,” he said. 

The other successful Youth candidates from Perak, all of whom contested the state seats, are MCA’s Chan Chin Chee (Simpang Pulai), Gerakan’s Vincent Hooi Wy-Hon (Canning), and Umno’s Muhaimin Abdul Rahman Nazri (Gunung Semanggol), Mohd Tarmizi Idris (Kenering), Mohd Khusairi Abd Talib (Slim), and Zaili Cha (Selinsing).
