Tackle poverty from all angles, say activists

PETALING JAYA: There should be a holistic approach in compiling the profile of the urban poor community to overcome the complexities surrounding them, Yayasan Kemajuan Social Malaysia co-director S. K. Devamany said. 

He suggested that the authorities find out proper statistics on families, youths, senior citizens and single mothers of the urban poor community living in squatter settlements and low-cost flats before a long-term agenda for them was drawn up.
