PETALING JAYA: The ruling by the National Registration Department (NRD) to impose a fine of RM100 to those who failed to collect their MyKad within three months of notification received immediate response from the public.
Department Public Relations officer Jainisah Mohd Noor, 31, told The Star that people started queuing since 8am and by 3pm, there were more than 900 people who had come to collect their MyKad compared to the 600 plus on normal days.
