BUTTERWORTH: To quench the thirst of participants of the upcoming Ipoh Starwalk – touted as the largest sporting event in Perak – a major soft drink producer here will give out 12,000 isotonic drinks on April 25.
F&N Coca-Cola (M) Sdn Bhd will give out 6,000 cups of 100 Plus Power to boost the walkers’ energy and another 6,000 cups of 100 Plus for their body.
The company’s northern region manager Harjit Singh said the company was proud to be associated with the Ipoh Starwalk after years of “smart partnership” with the Penang Starwalk.
“F&N Coca-Cola is showing our commitment of a long-lasting partnership by being a sponsor for the inaugural Ipoh Starwalk,” he said, adding that the company was also providing 2,000 T-shirts to walkers. Their sponsorship package is worth about RM25,000.
The Raja Muda of Perak Raja Nazrin Shah will flag off the 5km fun walk at the Dataran Ipoh at 7am on April 25. The event is being held to mark the birthday celebrations of the Sultan of Perak Sultan Azlan Shah.
