KUALA LUMPUR: A non-governmental organisation has called for the joint involvement of parent-teacher associations, police and society in general to tackle gangsterism in schools.
The Malaysian People's Service Organisation, in a memorandum handed to Education Minister Datuk Hishammuddin Tun Hussein and Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Bakri Omar, also said the number of counsellors and disciplinary teachers in schools should be increased.
