KUALA LUMPUR: A pilot project enabling child witnesses to testify via video link while sitting in a separate room in the building has taken off in the lower courts in Jalan Raja here.
After getting the consent of both the defence and prosecution to let the children testify via video link, a Sessions Court judge and a magistrate began trying two cases in the week of March 15 – one involving a charge of rape and the other of molest.
