KOTA KINABALU: The detention of a prominent businessman from the offshore financial island of Labuan will enable the police to crack down on gang and vice activities in Sabah and Sarawak.
Sabah police CID chief Senior Asst Comm II Mohd Bakri Zinin said the 50-year-old man was held under the Restricted Residence Ordinance for two years as part of the nationwide police operations against top syndicated kingpins involved in human trafficking, vice and gambling.
