PENANG: Three Suzuki Smash motorcycles await lucky participants at the upcoming Ipoh Starwalk 2004, thanks to Lion Suzuki Marketing Sdn Bhd.
The company is sponsoring the three motorcycles, from its latest range of popular designs, for the inaugural walk that kicks off from Dataran Ipoh on April 25.
Lion Suzuki Marketing managing director Michinori Yoshiyama handed over the three motorcycles to Star Publications (M) Bhd regional director Datuk Seri Kamal Hashim in a simple ceremony at Suzuki's plant in the Prai Industrial Area here yesterday.
Yoshiyama said the company was glad to be associated with the event, which was an extension of the popular Penang Starwalk.

The Suzuki Smash model was launched in August last year and the machine is currently our companys best-selling range, he added.
Kamal thanked Lion Suzuki for its support in the Penang Starwalk over the years as well as in the first Ipoh Starwalk.
I hope this good relationship would continue as both companies promote sports and healthy lifestyle among the people, he added.
Touted to be the largest sporting event in Perak, the 5km fun walk will be held in conjunction with the Sultan of Perak Sultan Azlan Shah's birthday celebrations.
The walk will be flagged off by Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Nazrin Shah at 7am.
Participants stand a chance to win over RM50,000 worth of lucky draw prizes which include the three Suzuki Smash motorcycles, a RM3,000 giant hamper, four Solarela solar water heaters, RM10,000 worth of Pensonic electrical products and 15 DiGi mobile phones.
All walkers will also receive a goody bag containing Starwalk T-shirts, Hovid Chewette C tablets and other items.
Organised by The Star, the walk is endorsed by the Perak government and Ipoh City Council with Suzuki, DiGi, Pensonic, 100 Plus, Spritzer, Pallas, Sloans, MY FM, Mix FM and Solarela as main sponsors.
