MIRI: A multi-million-ringgit integrated treatment and recycling plant will be set up in Sarawak to collect, break down, treat and recycle highly toxic and harmful waste such as oil sludge, used vehicle and heavy machinery tyres, leftovers from industrial lubricants and used vehicle engine oil.
Sarawak Natural Resources and Environment Board controller Chong Ted Tsiung said the facility was a very important step forward in the states effort to deal with rising toxic waste generated daily by industrial activities.
