PENANG: Malaysia will celebrate Wesak Day on May 3 although the religious festival falls on June 2 based on the Chinese lunar year, said Malaysian Buddhist Association (MBA) secretary Lim Tien Phong.
He said this was in keeping with the general consensus among many countries which do not follow the Chinese calendar.
