SHAH ALAM: A pair of jeans, which had Canny Ong's bloodstains, was among 11 items seized from the house of accused Ahmad Najib Aris, the High Court heard yesterday.
Arresting officer Petaling Jaya District CID chief Supt Ahmad Razil Yaacob, 48, said he found the items in the two-room house occupied by Ahmad Najib, his wife and their child on June 20 last year.
Supt Ahmad Razil said he discovered a pair of size-28 Jack Blue Classic jeans under a table in the first room he inspected.

Supt Ahmad Razil: ‘The jeans werecrumpled when I found it’. |
The jeans were crumpled when I found it, he said while showing DPP Sallehuddin Saidin the patches of bloodstains on the pair of jeans.
On Feb 11, chemist Primulapathi Jaya Krishnan had testified that the DNA profile of the blood samples obtained from the jeans matched Canny's profile.
Supt Ahmad Razil said he also found a belt, a cap, a jacket, a sweater, a cell phone, a copy of the Pantai police report, a police summons, a wallet, a T-Shirt and two pairs of shoes.
He said in the wallet, he found Ahmad Najib's B2 class driving licence and a Civil Defence card.
He added that other documents in the wallet such as two photographs of Ahmad Najibs wife, a Malaysia Airlines sports club card, a Jusco card, a business card and a credit card were not included in the search list.
The accused told him the seized items belonged to him, said Supt Ahmad Razil.
At this juncture, lead counsel Haniff Khatri Abdulla objected to the testimony that the items belonged to Ahmad Najib as it was hearsay evidence and it was subjected to the question of his client volunteering the information, which was prejudicial to his client.
However, DPP Sallehuddin said he was merely trying to establish ownership of the items and not touching on the confession of the accused.
The court rejected Haniff Khatri's objection.
Supt Ahmad Razil, who was the prosecutions 32 witness, was testifying at the trial of Ahmad Najib, a 28-year-old aircraft cabin cleaning supervisor charged with raping and murdering Canny at the 11th kilometre of Old Klang Road between 1am and 5am on June 14 last year.
Supt Ahmad Razil also testified that he prepared a two-page search list of the items and gave a copy to Ahmad Najib after it was signed.
On cross-examination, Supt Ahmad Razil said he took about 45 minutes to complete his task in Ahmad Najibs house between 5.30am and 6.15am.
He denied that he found a pair of GA Blue jeans with a Calvin Klein belt in the house.
Supt Ahmad Razil also disagreed with Haniff Khatri who suggested that he told Ahmad Najib to just sign the search list without asking any questions.
He added that he marked the seized items and handed them over to investigating officer Asst Supt S. Muniandy for further action.
The hearing before Justice Muhamad Ideres Muhamad Rapee continues today.
