Officer’s bribery case set for Aug 2

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions Court here fixed five days beginning Aug 2 for the trial of a City Hall assistant enforcement officer who was charged with asking for RM400 as bribes from a young couple said to be engaged in indecent behaviour in a public place. 

Rosmi Mahmud, 45, had on Jan 30, claimed trial to soliciting a RM200 bribe each from trainee teacher Ooi Kean Thong, 22, and college student Siow Ai Wei, 20, as an inducement not to issue a notice and a compound against them.
