KUALA LUMPUR: DAP secretary-general Kerk Kim Hock is willing to step aside to allow former Kota Melaka MP Lim Guan Eng to contest in the constituency if the latter gets a pardon from the King.
“I believe Guan Eng has suffered enough and he should be the first choice for the constituency. I will recommend to the party’s central executive committee to field him there if he gets a pardon,” said Kerk, who won the Kota Melaka seat in the 1999 general election.
