KUALA LUMPUR: A concoction of vinegar, sour milk, brussel sprouts, broccoli and chilli powder was used as an example to describe the attitude towards commitment to environmental conservation efforts.

For 17-year-old Justus Rollin, a participant of the Greenpeace Kids for Forest Programme, the ingredients symbolised the “dishonesty, unfairness, greed, lack of commitment, destruction and lack of action” that could be shown by the delegates of the 7th Conference of Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP7).

“Adults should stop talking and start acting,” he said.

Rollin, from Germany, was one of 30 children who were invited to spread the message on environmental conservation.

At the session, the children also served various drinks and snacks, ranging from “Jam of the forest – A Chilean Recipe” to the “Earth Perfume Cocktail”.
