IPOH: Preservationists have called on the Perak government to come up with a rational policy to create a balance between excavation and preservation of limestone hills in the state.
The Malaysian Karst Society president Leong Choo Kong said an independent committee comprising academicians, community leaders, quarry operators and government officials should be set up to help the state work on the policy.
