KUALA LUMPUR: The secretary-general of the Peninsular Malaysia National Union of the Drinks Industry Workers was charged in the Sessions Court here yesterday with cheating the union of RM14,000.
S. Nadarajan, 44, pleaded not guilty to cheating the union's committee members by deceiving them into believing that a shophouse in Taman Pandan Mewah, here, the property of the union, had been sold for RM45,000 through a broker who had been paid a commission of RM14,000 whereas no broker was involved in the transaction.
