PETALING JAYA: The Fisheries Department will monitor any negative impact on the environment arising from the development within the Pulau Payar Marine Park, its public relations officer Halijah Mat Sin said.
“Efforts are being taken to protect and rehabilitate areas found to have been badly affected,” she said in response to a letter to the editor entitled “Development Causing Damage to Pulau Payar” on Jan 22 in The Star.
