KUALA LUMPUR: A driving school instructor was released on a good behaviour bond by the Sessions Court here after he was found guilty of accepting RM200 from a learner driver to bribe Road Transport Department officers to ensure she passed her test.
Judge Akhtar Tahir said although he deemed the offence committed by Rashid Jahari as serious and should be curbed, “the aim of a sentence meted by the court should not be merely to punish an accused person.”
