KUALA LUMPUR: The Kongsi Raya Chinese New Year open house, planned to be held in Kuala Terengganu today, will proceed despite the PAS-led Terengganu government's refusal to give a permit for the event.
Culture, Arts and Tourism Minister Datuk Paduka Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir, who disclosed this yesterday, said the reasons for not allowing the open house were absurd and against the Constitution.
