KOTA KINABALU: A National Registration Department officer was jailed four months after he was found guilty for accepting a RM500 bribe from a woman two years ago.
Sessions judge Ravinthran Paramaguru also ordered Elisalim Lee, 39, to pay a RM10,000 fine or in default three months' jail after finding him guilty of taking the bribe from Rasdah Asnanti on June 27, 2001, at Kampung Air here.
