KUALA LUMPUR: Iraq is calling on Malaysia to re-establish full diplomatic ties that were dented when the old Iraqi regime fell on April 9 last year following the US-led invasion of the country.
Iraqi Charge d’Affaires to Malaysia Dr Mahmoud Khalid Almsafir said he respected the position taken by the Malaysian Government against the war on Iraq, but “we need help now” to rebuild the country.
