PENANG: The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry has received reports that the prices of medicine and health supplements have increased because of the depreciation of the US currency.
Ministry parliamentary secretary Wong Kam Hoong, however, said it was difficult for the Ministry to control the prices of these items as Malaysia practised free economy and therefore “let the free market determine the price”.
