PENANG: Two bounced cheques totalling RM100,000 were found on the body of a businessman who was shot thrice in a gangland-style killing in Jalan Raja Uda, Butterworth, here on Sunday.
State CID chief Senior Asst Comm II Abdul Rahim Jani said the 40-year-old businessman, who had just arrived in Butterworth, could have been on his way to meet the person who owed him the money when he was shot.
