JOHOR BARU: AirAsia’s ticket sales at its hub at the Sultan Ismail Airport in Senai has not dropped amidst the controversy in the past week, but has instead increased, possibly due to the publicity.
AirAsia corporate communications manager Aliza Zainal said operations and sales at the airline’s Johor Baru hub carried on as usual despite the tiff between Culture, Arts and Tourism Minister Datuk Paduka Kadirn Sheikh Fadzir and the airline’s chief executive officer Tony Fernandes.
