PATTANI (SOUTHERN THAILAND): A religious teacher was among scores of people picked up by Thai security forces yesterday in a massive military operation to flush out those behind Sundays deadly raid on the army installation in Narathiwat.
Thailand Deputy Prime Minister Chavalit Yongchaiyudh said the suspects were picked up from three predominantly Muslim population provinces of Narathiwat, Yala and here.
