KUALA LUMPUR: Mercy Malaysia is making an urgent appeal to pharmaceutical companies to donate asthma medication to treat Iranian children who have contracted the ailment because of the dusty environment after the earthquake in Bam.
Its president Datuk Dr Jemilah Mahmood said the rate of respiratory disease infection, especially among children, had increased and was aggravated by dust kicked up by rescue operations.
