Woman and sons killed in hit-and-run accident

KOTA BARU: A woman and her two sons were killed when her motorcycle was hit by a trailer in a hit-and-run accident at the 25th kilometre of the Kota Baru-Machang road near the Desa Pahlawan Camp here yesterday.  

The dead were Norma Mohamad, 26, and her two sons, Mohd Shahrulnizam Zulkifli, 11, and Mohd Shariman, two-and-a-half-years old. 

Kota Baru OCPD ACP Azman Yusof said all three of them were killed on the spot after the trailer ran over them in the 7.05pm incident. 

Norma, who was carrying her two sons, was travelling from Kampung Kuali to Kampung Paloh, Kok Lanas. 

The trailer was also travelling from the same direction. 

The police are still tracking the trailer which was last seen heading towards Kota Baru. 

Azman said the bodies had been sent to the Kota Baru Hospital for post-mortem. – Bernama
