SHORTAGE of funds has forced the Yuk Cheng Chinese Primary School in Tanah Merah, 50km from Kota Baru, to salvage old chairs and tables discarded by a nearby national school for use in its newly-completed classrooms.
News reports of China Press and Nanyang Siang Pau stated that the school was left with no alternative. It also had to borrow 450 chairs and tables from a Chinese temple.
