Cops yet to interview mum of dead girl

IPOH: Police are waiting for hospital clearance to interview the mother of five-year-old Winnie Chew Yin Wai who was found dead with bruises around her neck at her Taman Kledang Suri home in Menglembu here. 

Perak deputy CID chief Supt Abdul Rahman Hashim said yesterday she was still being treated at Hospital Bahagia. 

Taxi driver Chew Ming Kong, 50, found his daughter’s body on the bed at home and his 41-year-old wife unconscious in the bathroom at about 1.45pm on Tuesday. 

He rushed his wife to the Ipoh Hospital. She was later transferred to Hospital Bahagia for psychiatric observation. 

On the probe into the murder of engineering graduate Mohd Hosni Fadzli Mohd Amin, 21, Ipoh CID chief Deputy Supt Mazlan Mansor said police were still looking for three men. 

The three are Azman Ismail @ Man Datuk, 23, from Ipoh, Mohd Nizam Ariffin @ Tok Mat Crane, 24, from Jelapang Jaya and Sharizal Idros @ Rizal, 24, from Taiping. 

Three other suspects have since been remanded.
