KUALA LUMPUR: Many advanced cancer patients have initially avoided going to see the doctor for fear of bad news, said Hospis Malaysia chief executive officer and medical director Dr Ednin Hamzah.
Some of them had related to him how they had hoped that their sickness or symptoms would “disappear” without having to visit a doctor, he said.
