KUALA LUMPUR: Lack of funds has forced the Asia-Pacific Development Centre (APDC), an autonomous inter-government research institution set up by developing countries in the region, to cease operations yesterday after 23 years of existence.
Located in Persiaran Duta, APDC was established on July 1, 1980 to assist governments of 22 Asia-Pacific nations in the fields of energy and environment, poverty eradication, gender and human resources development.
