IPOH: Local councils in Perak have been urged to not depend solely on assessment but instead diversify into other areas to beef up revenue.
State Urban Development and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Chang Ko Youn said the Perak government was sympathetic towards the financial position of certain local councils that had not been allowed to raise assessment rates.
