KUALA LUMPUR: City police have introduced a new number – 39988 – for the public to contact the police via SMS at any time from today.
City police chief Comm Datuk Dell Akbar Khan said this followed the success of the SMS crime hotline which was launched last month, adding that the Kuala Lumpur police had received tremendous response from the public.
