Umno state chiefs can publicise candidate list

PUTRAJAYA: Umno will allow state liaison chiefs to make public their own lists of candidates for the next general election as this will help reduce lobbying by those wishing to become candidates. 

Party secretary-general Tan Sri Khalil Yaakob said the state liaison committee chiefs could prepare the lists based on their own perception of who would make the best candidates but the final decision on the matter rested with the party leadership.
