Home Ministry officer claims trial to graft charge

BUTTERWORTH: A Home Ministry enforcement officer pleaded not guilty in a Sessions Court yesterday to receiving a RM3,000 cheque from a businessman in 2001 as an inducement not to take action against another person. 

Nek Harun Nek Musa, 45, was charged with accepting the money from Teoh Cheiw Ming in return for not taking action against Ng Siew Hiang who was caught selling VCDs without the “B” certificate.
