KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions Court has dismissed an application by former Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) examination director Khalid Yusoff to obtain a statement of former Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohtar Abdullah, which had been given to the police regarding forgery charges against the former.
Judge Datuk Mohd Azman Husin, in his ruling, said the statement of the late Mohtar could not be given to the defence as it was an absolute privileged document at this stage of the trial.
