JOHOR BARU: MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu has filed a defamation suit in the High Court here against Indian Progressive Party president Datuk M.G. Pandithan and five others over the recent Maika issue.
Besides Pandithan, Samy Vellu is suing journalist M. Chinapen, IPF member F. Kandaraju, Maika Holdings Sdn Bhd shareholder S. Muniandy, Malaysian Nanban editor-in-chief Athi Kumanan and Malaysian Nanban publisher Penerbitan Sahabat (M) Sdn Bhd.
