KUALA TERENGGANU: A former district education officer from Kelantan was charged in the Sessions Court yesterday here with receiving bribes totalling RM25,920 from a resort in Besut three years ago.
Abdul Aziz Zakaria, 57, who is now retired, is alleged to have received six cheques for the amount from the operations officer of the Primula Besut Resort through its purchasing and accounts clerk between 9am and 5pm on June 30 and July 2, 2000.
