PETALING JAYA: After a miserable showing in the last general election, the DAP wants to contest 18 state seats in Selangor and recapture its one-time stronghold in the Petaling Jaya district.
“Petaling Jaya, which houses the party’s national headquarters, used to be our stronghold,” said state DAP chairman Ronnie Liu, adding that the party wanted to make a comeback in the area to serve the people better than the Barisan Nasional.
