PENANG: A 27-year-old Filipino crewman died after he was shot in the chest by about 10 pirates armed with pump guns and sub-machine guns, about 90 nautical miles from here, on Monday.
Mary John G. Buto was swabbing the deck of the 60m-long supply vessel, Sea Punther with three shipmates when the incident occurred at about 3.45pm.
