KOTA TINGGI: The proposed traffic police counter to be set up at the Malaysian High Commission in Singapore to facilitate payment of summonses by the republic’s traffic offenders is expected to open by next month.

High Commissioner Datuk N. Parameswaran said the counter – an effort to get Singaporean motorists to settle the 87,311 outstanding summonses amounting to over RM26mil – would be opened when the Malaysian police database is updated.
