China forced to step up rhetoric against Taiwan

IN the past few days, China has seen fit once again to warn Taiwan, even to the extent of threatening war, of the consequences of declaring independence.  

The latest authoritative warning in this regard comes from Chinese premier Wen Jia Bao, who, in a recent Washington Post interview, states that China will pay any price to ensure that Taiwan is not formally separated from China.
