PETALING JAYA: The Government has shelved plans to deport eight Acehnese asylum seekers after concerns were raised over the well-being of a 13-month-old baby, said the Malaysian Human Rights Commission (Suhakam).
Suhakam secretary Kamaruddin Mohamed Baria said the Langkap immigration detention depot in Teluk Intan, Perak, was ordered on Friday to halt the deportation of the eight until further notice.
