KUALA LUMPUR: A British businessman has been charged in the Sessions Court with 33 counts of offences under the Customs Act, including evading RM1.8mil in duties of six luxury cars and forging Customs forms and rubber stamps.
Simal Khetshi Popat, 23, faced six charges of evading duties totalling RM1,839,247 on five models of Mercedes Benz cars ranging from the C200 to 500SL and a Volksvagen Caravelle between April 17 and Oct 31.
